A grooming salon that explains what it does

ShaggyGo opened in 2021 on Lützner Str. in Lindenau. The idea was simple: offer professional dog and cat grooming in English, and give owners the information they need to look after their pet's coat between sessions — not just a clean animal to take home.

We work with a small number of regular clients and keep the booking slots manageable so that every session gets proper attention. We are not a high-volume operation and do not aim to be one. Both team members hold professional grooming qualifications — Nina trained in Hamburg, Tobias has a background in veterinary animal handling.

A few things worth knowing

Consistent groomer

Your pet will see the same person each visit. We do not rotate staff across sessions — continuity matters for animals who find the salon stressful.

No pressure grooming

We do not force animals through sessions they are clearly distressed by. If a cat needs a break or a dog needs the session split, we do that.

Guides alongside the service

The coat guides on this site are written from what we see in the salon. They exist because most owners want to do the right thing at home — they just need specific information, not vague advice.

One location

Lützner Str. 7, Leipzig-Lindenau. One address, reachable by phone and email. No automated booking system, no chatbot — you reach a person.

Who writes the coat guides

The guides are written by members of the ShaggyGo team based on what we see in the salon.

Nina Köhler

Dog grooming & at-home care

Nina completed her grooming training in Hamburg before moving to Leipzig in 2019. She has worked with dogs from German Shepherd to Maltese, with a particular focus on double-coated breeds and shedding management. She writes the dog brushing and frequency guides.

Tobias Brandt

Cat grooming & coat assessment

Tobias specialised in feline grooming after several years working in a mixed-animal veterinary practice. His background in clinical animal handling informs how he approaches anxious cats and complex de-matting cases. He writes the cat-specific guides.
